UFO Sightings:
A ‘Close Encounter of the Fifth Kind’
Videotaped Above North West Santa Monica

In my experience, a ‘Close Encounter of the Fifth Kind’, or ‘CE5’ is a human initiated encounter with any form of ‘Extraterrestrial’ Intelligence, related phenomena and or technology.

At 11am (PST) on Sunday September 10th 2006 Kris Sherwood and I (Ed) participated in a globally synchronized weekly Earth Healing and World Peace meditation (Fig.1).

Before to begin, we first transmitted a mental ‘invitation’ to any benevolent Extraterrestrial Intelligence (ETI) and/or civilization, near or far, aware of the global meditation and able to participate, to visualize Earth Healing and World Peace with us and many other people around the world at the same time, as ‘One Mind’. Adding that we would conduct a sixty-minute sky watch outside our apartment immediately after the meditation, I asked, if it was possible to grant a physical sign of their presence and participation, to videotape a UFO ‘fleet’ like some videotaped above Mexico in recent years.

Approximately thirty minutes into the post meditation sky watch, at around noon, a highly unusual looking UFO suddenly appeared (Fig.2).

Moving steadily against the prevailing onshore wind, flying South East-East to North West-West above North West Santa Monica, the UFO looked like a giant, ‘scalloped edged’, diffusely luminous, white ‘worm’ with curved edges and spherical ends. I estimated it to be about forty degrees above the horizon, a thousand feet in the air (possibly less) and roughly half a mile away. Slowly adjusting its form, from a ‘U’ shape to ‘straight’ and back again, it was larger than a small aircraft, semi rigid, completely silent and appeared to move under intelligent control (Fig.3).

Wishing to verify this was a psycho-interactive CE5 type of UFO sighting and possible ‘response’ to the psychic invitation, requests and global meditation I asked the ‘intelligences’ behind the UFO, on camera, to ‘do something dramatic’…(like) ‘disappearing in the sky on film or moving back the way you came.’ The ‘response’ was not immediate but the UFO would do something dramatic (yet very discrete). It would also reverse and fly back the way it came before it ‘transformed’ into a UFO fleet (requested previously).

Flying a few city blocks behind a foreground palm tree (measuring approximately 50 feet in height and 75 feet from the camera), and only a second before I asked on camera ‘Could you reverse?’ the object stopped momentarily and reversed a short distance before resuming its course into the wind. It was the first indication, beyond its arrival and appearance that a telepathic connection existed between the UFO and myself. This would be further affirmed as the sighting continued.

Minutes later, with the UFO about to disappear behind trees and buildings nearby, and be permanently lost from view, I mentally exclaimed, “Stop! Don’t go”, and immediately it stopped and remained stationary for approximately two minutes. After this it began to slowly fly back the way it came (requested earlier).

During the thirty-one minute sighting (twenty-five of it videotaped) many aircraft flew above and below the UFO including one I videotaped flying at a lower altitude towards the Santa Monica airport (Fig.4). It was one of eleven aircraft I also videotaped during seven daylight UFO sightings above North West Santa Monica in 2006.

Halfway on the UFOs return flight Kris joined me outside and we both observed it. Several minutes later (approximately fifteen minutes into the videotaped sighting), after having slowly flown back the way it came, the UFO began to change. To the naked eye it seemed to be ‘shrinking’ in length. It was no longer uniformly illuminated and half of it now appeared to be a line of small diffusely lit white ‘spheres’. It was like the illumination that had previously concealed them and possibly contained them (i.e.: an ion plasma energy field perhaps), had been deactivated (Fig.5).

Within a couple of minutes of the UFO changing form multiple ‘twinkling’ white lights (like ‘stars’) began to appear, disappear and reappear under the initial object (Fig.6, 7 & 8).

Flying in a manner characteristic of a UFO fleet videotaped above Mexico and elsewhere in the world the ‘lights’ maintained a ‘fixed’ position (relative to each other) and formation in flight (Fig.7). A few minutes later, we lost sight of the initial UFO (the largest and brightest object of the fleet) as it headed further away into haze and smog above North East Santa Monica.

Further Observations

Since the UFO fleet sighting of September 10th 2006 I have categorized the ‘worm-like’ object that contained it a UFO Fleet ‘Container’ or UFOFC for short.

What is a UFO Fleet ‘Container’?

A UFO Fleet ‘Container’ or UFOFC is, in my view, an aerial ‘system’ used by certain Extraterrestrial Intelligences (ETI) to contain and transport multiple aerial objects as ‘one’ object.

Supported by a large amount of our own and other UFO witnesses video footage, particularly from Mexico, a UFOFC appears to form when more than one Extraterrestrial vehicle or device ‘joins’ with another through a shared ion-plasma energy system.

The UFOFC Kris and I observed on September 10th 2006 was one of a number of sightings we have videotaped of this type of UFO appearing interactively, including as a CE5 ‘response’, close to where we live. Other memorable incidents occurred on October 18th 1999 (Fig.9 & 10), June 28th 2006 (Fig.11 & 12), September 9th (Fig.13 & 14) and 10th 2006 (Fig.15 & 16), and December 3rd 2006 (Fig.17, 18, 19 & 20).

Seven years before the September 10th 2006 sighting Kris and I witnessed, and Kris videotaped, a very similar looking object that instead of flying forward ‘horizontally’, or ‘vertically’, continuously rotated like a slow motion ‘boomerang’ in flight (Fig.9 & 10).

For 11/2 Minutes

Interestingly, on December 2nd 2006 Lori Matthews (Kris’ daughter) sighted an identical looking UFO flying in the same manner and on the same course, but in the opposite direction towards North West Santa Monica and the area where we live, the day before I videotaped one fly slowly over our apartment heading out to sea (Fig.17 & 18).

At approximately 5:10pm on June 28th 2006 I observed an upright UFOFC flying very slowly in a North Westerly direction at the beginning of the sighting, and twenty minutes later horizontally and at speed in the opposite direction. It was also visible in some moments and invisible in others. Slowly adjusting its form while flying on a straight course I eventually lost sight of it heading South East into city smog and haze (Fig.11 & 12).

the UFOFC Was Observed Intermittently
For 25 Minutes and Videotaped For 1 minute

On September 9th 2006 at approximately 5:32pm I videotaped another UFOFC flying on the same course as the previous sighting (Fig.13 &14). It was about 1000 to 1500 feet in the air and roughly a third of a mile away. Varying from upright to horizontal it moved slowly and steadily across the sky pausing occasionally. In certain orientations it looked identical to the October 18th 1999, June 28th 2006, September 10th 2006 and December 3rd 2006 UFOFC sightings (Fig.10, 12, 14, 15, 16, 17 & 18).

On December 3rd 2006 at approximately 11:20am Kris and I observed, and I videotaped, a highly luminous UFOFC fly slowly over our apartment building (Fig.17 & 18).

Heading West towards the Santa Monica Bay at an altitude of about 1000 to 1500 feet the silent UFOFC flew steadily, on a straight course, against a strong on shore breeze that was gusting at the time (Fig. 17). It was self-illuminated and extremely bright. Initially, it appeared upright with three large white spheres rigidly ‘stacked’ one on top of the other. After a few minutes however it changed its orientation from vertical to horizontal and became so bright the spheres were indistinguishable (Fig.18).

During this time, which lasted several minutes, it looked and moved like a giant opaque white ‘worm’ slowly adjusting its form in flight (Fig.18). It was also passed by an irregularly ‘flashing’ white sphere, which appeared suddenly from above and descended close to the UFOFC at speed, before disappearing ‘into thin air’ on camera moments later. Though videotaped neither Kris or I saw it at the time (Fig.19 & 20). Shortly afterwards the UFOFC returned to an upright position and remained in this configuration for the rest of the sighting.

The irregularly flashing sphere looked identical to the UFOs below the UFOFC videotaped on September 10th 2006, and others I videotaped in 2006, 2007 and 2008. Also, since it was the entire UFO that appeared to flash, rather than a light attached to it, or a glint off its surface, when viewed from a distance the varying frequency and intensity of the flash gave the sphere a twinkling appearance.

A UFO Fleet with objects exhibiting the same effect was videotaped above Seoul (South Korea) in late 2008. Posted on ‘youtube’ under the title ‘UFO Fleet Over Seoul October 12 2008 it provides additional and corroborative evidence, I think, of the same type of modulated energy effect.

A few minutes after the December 3rd 2006 UFOFC changed its orientation a large passenger aircraft flew across its flight path at a higher altitude and was videotaped in the same frame for later comparison.

Like the September 10th 2006 UFOFC sighting the December 3rd 2006 incident occurred immediately after participating in a globally synchronized weekly Sunday 11am (PST) Earth Healing and World Peace meditation, at the beginning of which I mentally invited benevolent ETI participation. I also requested a visible sign of their participation and permission to videotape anything that might appear, if possible. Both of these requests I feel were granted through the UFOFC sightings I videotaped on September 10th 2006 and December 3rd 2006.

After witnessing a UFO Fleet Container transform into a UFO Fleet on September 10th 2006 Kris and I have learned to look for the ‘Fleet’ if we sight a ‘Container’ and vice versa. This served us well on Sunday April 13th 2008 when at approximately 3:55pm we observed, and Kris photographed, another UFO Fleet flying above North West Santa Monica, very close to our apartment, approximately two and a half hours after spotting a large slow moving UFOFC heading towards where we live (Fig.21 & 22). Though not a simultaneous sighting the former put us on high alert for the latter and with only seconds to respond when it did appear Kris nonetheless managed to photograph it before the UFO Fleet disappeared behind trees and buildings nearby. Unfortunately, I didn’t have a camera on me at the time, but I did get a good look at it.

Immediately drawing my attention each object in the fleet looked self-similar and self-luminous, and ‘twinkled’ like a ‘star’. Perhaps fifteen to twenty feet in diameter and very bright their appearance reminded me of the UFO Fleet I videotaped on September 10th 2006, only this one was a lot closer, lower in altitude and involved fewer objects; I counted seven, five of which can be seen in the photograph (Fig. 21). Flying less than a thousand feet up and completely silent most of the UFOs maintained a straight course and formation in flight, while at least two also maneuvered in a manner unlike any conventional aerial object: suddenly and radically changing their location from moment to moment, like a ‘ball’ in a ‘pin-ball’ machine, while continuously ‘flashing on’ and ‘off’ and keeping pace with the fleet.

The anomalous motion, silence and illumination of the UFOs quickly alerted me to the fact this was not a formation of light aircraft, which by association was my first thought. Moving at about the same speed they were large solid looking objects, possessing mass (unlike balloons for example), flying steadily, apart from the two mentioned previously, under their own power. After ‘rubbing my eyes’ I immediately drew Kris’ attention to it and encouraged her to snap several photographs, which she did using a 7.1 Mega pixel digital camera at partial zoom, successfully recording the UFO Fleet as it headed away from our position, less than a mile distant (Fig.21).

Between April 2006 and April 2007 I witnessed 60 daylight UFO sightings (many with Kris and other witnesses present) above our apartment and immediate neighborhood of North West Santa Monica. 40 I videotaped. 29 occurred within thirty minutes (many within five) of completing a benevolent ETI invited Earth Healing and World Peace Meditation, held inside our apartment, followed by a 30-60 minute UFO sky watch outside. 22 I videotaped. At the beginning of each meditation a physical sign of benevolent ETI presence and participation was mentally requested as well as permission to videotape anything that might appear afterwards.

On September 9th and 10th 2006 I also requested a sign in the form of a UFO Fleet (something I had not specifically requested before) and within thirty minutes, on both days, a UFO Fleet Container appeared within a quarter of a mile of our apartment, and was videotaped for more than twenty minutes, with the latter also becoming a UFO Fleet.

I have conducted solo and group synchronized benevolent ETI invited Earth Healing and World Peace meditations since 1984, and witnessed many UFO sightings following them. As certain UFO sightings above Santa Monica and other cities around the world continue to affirm, not only are we not alone, there are benevolent ‘visitors’ from the stars who are willing to support us if we ask for it, and invite them to participate in our efforts towards global healing.
